Leaders need leaders
Perhaps you're familiar with the phrase from U.S. entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker Jim Rohn? When it comes to relationships, whether we like it or not, we are heavily influenced by the people closest to us. This affects the way we think, our self-esteem, and the decisions we make. Of course, everyone is their own person, but research has shown that we are influenced more by those around us than we think: also called the peer group effect.
Maybe you're thinking to yourself: Whew, no wonder I'm stuck. Don't worry Lory! To be successful, we don't have to change our friends! Contacts or regular meetings with other business leaders also have a great effect on our personal development and offer super potential for successful networking. True friends & family remain elementary though! 💖
But maybe look in which area you set yourself goals, to surround yourself there with people who have already successfully implemented these goals and live the life that you yourself still dream of. Because these people know the path that still lies ahead of you, they know what works and what maybe less. Try to network with them, encourage close collaboration and get into more frequent exchanges with them.
