In short

This website sets no cookies. For visitor statistics without cookies and without storing IP addresses we use Pirsch (see below). Fonts, images, videos and PDFs are served from our own server; we do not embed video platforms such as YouTube. We only process data such as your name or email address when you submit a form, book a call or write to us.

Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Alfahosting GmbH in Germany. When you visit a page, the server automatically records technical data in log files: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system. We need this data to run the website securely and to detect attacks (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are not combined with other data and are deleted after a short period. The same applies when you play a video in a blog article or download a PDF: both are stored on our own server.

Visitor statistics with Pirsch

To understand which pages are read and which content is helpful, we use Pirsch, an analytics service of Emvi Software GmbH, Nickelstraße 1b, 33378 Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany. Pirsch sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses. For each page view, a hash is created from the IP address, browser identifier, date and a random value, which can only be recognised for 24 hours; it cannot be traced back to you. Pirsch records the page visited, the referring page, campaign parameters (UTM), language, country and city, browser, operating system, device type and screen size, and clicks on downloads and on links to other websites. Pirsch stores the browser identifier (user agent) separately from the page views for no more than three months. The data is stored only on servers in Germany. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with Pirsch.

Digital Leader Canvas and newsletter

When you request the Digital Leader Canvas or subscribe to the newsletter Human Skills in the Age of AI, your browser sends the data you enter (email address, for the canvas also first name and optionally company) directly to HubSpot. HubSpot (HubSpot, Inc. and HubSpot Ireland Ltd.) processes it on our behalf in a data centre in the EU. For possible transfers to the USA, HubSpot relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

We use your data to send you the canvas and, if you agree, the newsletter (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). For the newsletter you first receive an email in which you confirm your subscription (double opt-in); only then do we send it to you. For this we store the time of sign-up and confirmation and the consent text. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or by writing to us. We then delete your data, unless we need it to prove your earlier consent. HubSpot's privacy policy also applies.

Booking a call

The “Book a call” buttons lead to our appointment page at HubSpot (HubSpot, Inc.). If you book an appointment there, HubSpot processes the data you enter, such as name, email address and the time you choose, on our behalf, to arrange the call (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). HubSpot's privacy policy applies to that page.

Podcast

The episodes of the podcast 3 minutes max. are stored on our own server (https://podcast.digital-leader-program.de), also at Alfahosting GmbH. When you play them, the same applies as for the server log files above.

Links to other services

We link, for example, to LinkedIn (newsletter and profiles), Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Mural (template of the Digital Leader Canvas) and Fearless Culture (Culture Design Canvas). These links are plain links: no data is transferred until you click them. After that, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed, unless legal retention periods apply.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, write to us at the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
