How can you create more time for leadership?
How can I ensure that I pass on my tasks in the best possible way? What motivates my colleagues? Where do they want to develop? How can I lead them to more autonomy and their own decision-making?
These are all questions, topics and tasks that require time. However, many leaders don't have it, don't think they have it, or don't take it. Some also think that leadership to-dos are not part of their working time. But time must flow into leadership, otherwise the leader becomes the bottleneck of the organization and the system can only grow with difficulty.
A good way to get more time for leadership is to ask yourself the following questions:
What would I do if I could only work half the hours in the day (daycare and school are closed and you have to take care of your kids)? What would you cut out completely? What would you delegate?
You should only do those tasks yourself that your colleagues are not able to do. Delegating tasks for the first time costs time for a short time, but then gives you freedom.
