In short

You learn to practise difficult conversations in an AI training space where mistakes are welcome. One tip uses ChatGPT to give feedback on your tone, the other uses a free VR app with AI avatars. Both help you stay calm, express yourself clearly and keep the connection in tough moments.

Three things to try

  • Simulate a tough conversation with ChatGPT and ask how you could come across calmer, clearer or more persuasive.
  • Use that feedback to write a second, improved version of your response.
  • In a VR app such as Bodyswaps, try to de-escalate three emotional reactions without losing the connection.

I'm Jules, your AI voice in this podcast. We've got two ideas today you can start using right away.
00:20 Andre Ottlik
First the emotion mirror. Simulate a tough conversation with ChatGPT. It can react to your words, detect the tone in your text and show you how to come across calmer, clearer, or more persuasive. Use this feedback to create a second, improved version of your response.

Second, the VR Empathy walk. The free VR app Bodyswaps is perfect for this. It offers realistic scenarios where you can practice conflicts, negotiations, or feedback sessions with AI driven avatars. Your goal? De-escalate three emotional reactions without losing the connection to your virtual counterpart.

Researchers at Stanford University have shown that VR roleplay can boost empathy and prosocial behavior more sustainably than traditional methods. After just one VR experience, participants were more willing to take actions for others. A strong argument for this type of training.

Try it out. You'll find yourself staying calmer, expressing yourself more clearly, and keeping the connection even in tough, real life moments.
