Opening questions for meetings
In order for you and your counterpart to be able to adjust to each other in a meeting, it is important to build rapport. This means a connection between two people based on mutual appreciative attention.
You can build rapport by asking interested questions and learning about your counterpart.
We like to use these questions in internal meetings.
What are you grateful for today?
The idea here is to evoke positive thoughts in order to bring a good mood into the meeting.
What are you most proud of today?
What was your personal highlight this week?
When was the last time you laughed really hard and about what?
What did you do really well this week?
Have fun trying it out.
